IntegraVision now with CBC

Lake Image Systems, the worldwide leader in vision control and verification systems, has enhanced its popular IntegraVison Customer Bar Code (CBC) Verification System so that UK customers can safeguard savings of up to 12% by using Cleanmail or Cleanmail Plus services from the Royal Mail.

  • Adds "intelligence" to legacy inserters, stitchers and polywrappers

  • Safeguards savings for users of Cleanmail and Cleanmail Plus

Martin Keats, managing director of Lake Image system warns, "Any deterioration in barcode readability or print quality can mean mailing houses forfeiting huge savings, so ensuring compliance and integrity can make a huge impact on profit margins and timelines.  This is the need that our system meets; it also now delivers a detailed audit trail with a camera image of every piece and/or defect with the matching quality report."

In addition to ensuring that printed barcodes comply with the Royal Mail's dimensional tolerances and readability requirements, the system now includes archiving capability for all pieces, including envelopes and booklets, at image archiving speeds in excess of 40,000 pieces per hour.  The system also ensures that no pieces are missing or duplicated, and stops the production process or diverts the production stream should a defect be detected.  The system is easily installed at the exit stage of inserting machines, stitchers, and poly wrappers to quickly modernise legacy equipment in a variety of applications.
