Lake Image calls on UK mailing houses to follow US lead in Read and Print
Press Release
22nd April 2009
Lake Image Systems believes the UK mailing industry is hindering its own success by its slow adoption of Read and Print technology. The technology has been widely adopted in the US and is used in a number of applications which call for privacy of personalised information or the inclusion of high value items such as plastic cards, cheques, vouchers or raffle tickets where window envelopes are inappropriate.
Martin Keats, UK managing director of Lake Image, says: “The UK doesn’t have a good DM trade show so the technology has lacked a showcase. Many UK mailing houses don’t even realise that they could be offering Read and Print technology to their clients today; the technology is proven and meets a real business need that marketers are facing now.”
Read and Print allows prime document identification, name matching, full document tracking, inkjet printing and output verification. The approach is particularly useful for Local Authorities, charities and fund-raisers, as well as debt collectors, financial services and utility companies.
Lake Image is embarking on its first UK Roadshow to demonstrate the benefits of using its camera system along with Domino inkjet technology. The first event takes place in Cambridge on 7th May and is followed by a further event in Manchester on 13th May. Further details are available at:
