Lake Image Systems launches IntegraVision PQ to ensure top print quality.

Lake Image Systems, the worldwide leader in vision control and verification systems, has introduced a new, more detailed print quality inspection system. IntegraVision PQ, the new product, provides ‘golden template’ matching of all pages printed on a web, comparing each page to an ideal image. Lake Image Systems IntegraVision PQ provides commercial printers and label manufacturers with consistent repeatability, which is essential in pharmaceutical, medial, and food packaging printing. The system uses high-resolution linescan camera technology to image 100 per cent of the print produced, at speeds up to 1000 feet per minute, thus ensuring acceptable print quality throughout the run.
Lake Image Systems IntegraVision PQ identifies print errors in real time. Errors which can be detected using IntegraVision PQ include streaks and voids; out-of-position and out-of-alignment images; controlled document verification (as required when manufacturing pharmaceutical leaflets); and proof checking of documents prepared in languages such as Mandarin, Kanji, Hebrew, and Arabic. IntegraVision PQ is capable of identifying defects as small as 0.04mm.
