Gonpa Electronics, Turkey’s leading distributor in the finishing and card personalisation industry, has selected Lake Image’s IntegraVision Server to deliver speed and accuracy in a complex billing application contract for Vodafone, the second largest mobile operator in Turkey.
The combination of Lake Image’s IntegraVision camera and server systems provide real time online verification of customer data by reading completed envelopes on the exit of Vodafone’s enclosing lines to identify any duplicate pieces as well as check for poor print quality issues.
IntegraVision cameras are integrated with three Pitney Bowes inserters and are currently delivering 100% accuracy by using IntegraVision Server to complete the ADF loop. Accurate billing performance is a critical aspect of customer service for Vodafone, particularly as duplicate invoices are illegal in Turkey. With a single batch extending over 500,000 envelopes and over 1,000,000 pages and produced on multiple print lines and inserters simultaneously, a transactional based server is required to oversee the entire process. This was delivered with IntegraVision Server.
“We chose Lake Image’s IntegraVision because of the easy integration with Pitney Bowes and are very pleased with the combination,” says Haluk Seckiner, Sales Manager, Gonpa. “The throughput of each inserter is around 10,000 envelopes per hour which Lake Image is easily able to match. We’ve even pushed the Lake Image’s system to 20,000 readings per hour. ”
The Lake Image system reads customer account numbers through window envelopes and identifies any duplicate invoices. The inserters are linked to IntegraVision Server and feedback is given to the inserter client which has generated the duplicate print. This is displayed as an error message and a customer ID number is given on the Lake Image screen to identify the envelope.
