Intelligent Web Monitoring & Viewing
DISCOVERY PQExpress is a high-performance upgrade to traditional web viewing technology. Operators can view the entire web, in real time, at web speeds up to 350 m/min (1150 ft./min).
Reliable Defect Detection
DISCOVERY PQExpress provides real-time, print defect detection such as missing labels, label matrix residue, die-cut errors, ink smudges & streaks, as well as detecting surface imperfections such as creases, bubbling and wrinkles. Intelligent detection algorithms are deployed to quickly identify defects and to avoid false alarms. Live displays of images, with the defect clearly identified with a coloured marker, enable the operator to immediately spot defects as they occur.
Operator & Equipment Control
When an error is detected, DISCOVERY PQExpress can generate a 24v defect signal to trigger a flashing light or an audible alarm. Optionally, PQExpress can be configured to stop the equipment or to control a web marking/flagging device. This allows the operator to take appropriate corrective action and to prevent further loss. A historical defect log allows the operator to review the last 30 defects.
